Green Bay Packers Dominate Minnesota Vikings, On Brink Of Postseason Appearance

The Green Bay Packers (8-8) dominate a must-win game over the Minnesota Vikings (12-4), 41-17, in a game that was not as close as the final score shows to put the Packers on the doorstep of making it to the NFL Playoffs.

I love the 2023 Green Bay Packers! To quote Reggie White: “Great win for the Green Bay Packers! These fans deserve it.”

The way the Packers played defense today is I think the way we expected that unit to play all season.

Kirk Cousins finished the game with a QB Rating of 49.2. Justin Jefferson had one catch. Dalvin Cook ran it nine times for 27 yards. The intensity from that unit today was palpable. Absolute domination.

Rasul Douglas said: “We knew it was over from the jump. We knew as soon as we went out there and got the goal-line stand, it was over.”

For the Packers it’s this simple: beat the Detroit Lions and you’re in the dance. But as Aaron Rodgers noted postgame: “It’s not the same old Lions.”

Aaron Jones had 14 carries for 111 yards today and AJ Dillon, better known as Quadzilla, had 12 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Up Next:

The Packers will host the Detroit Lions (8-8) next Sunday, January 8th at Lambeau Field in what essentially is a “play-in” game. Kickoff time and television is TBD as I write this.
