Wisconsin Badgers versus Grambling State Tigers Men’s Basketball Game Cancelled

The Wisconsin Badgers (9-2) men’s basketball game against the Grambling State Tigers (6-5), scheduled for tomorrow December 23rd, has been cancelled due to the weather and will not be rescheduled.

With the winter massive storm warnings with the possibility of a blizzard, strong winds and frigid temperatures here in Wisconsin, this was probably the right call. Although, I would have preferred the programs to reschedule rather than cancel.

I’m hearing that Wisconsin is looking for a potential new opponent in place of the cancellation.

UW on Wednesday cancelled the women’s team’s game that was scheduled for today against Valparaiso. That game has been rescheduled to January 25th.

In other Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball news, it appears senior guard Jacobi Neath will miss the remainder of the season.

Neath had offseason surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon in his knee. He appeared in the first three games this season and was averaging 9.5 minutes per game, but hasn’t played since a 5-minute stint against UW-Green Bay on November 15th.

“I don’t anticipate having him at all,” UW head coach Greg Gard said the other day. “That’s just the way it looks, where it’s going, and what he feels he needs to do and where the doctors see this (going).”
