The Hofstra Pride (30-21) baseball team has made it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history!
The Pride won the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament this weekend to punch their ticket to the dance with a 7-6 walk-off win over Northeastern on Championship Sunday.

Hofstra was put in the Chapel Hill (North Carolina) Regional.

The Pride will open up against the No. 10 seeded North Carolina Tar Heels (38-19) in the First Round of the Regional at Boshamer Stadium at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) on Friday, June 3rd. The other two teams in the Chapel Hill Regional are the VCU Rams (40-18) and Georgia Bulldogs (35-21). The Rams and Bulldogs will play at 6:00 p.m. (Central Time). Both games will be televised on ESPN+.

Hofstra and North Carolina have never played before on the baseball diamond. Hofstra has also never played the Georgia Bulldogs on the diamond either. However, Hofstra and VCU are former CAA rivals before VCU left the conference and the Pride are 8-27 all-time versus the Rams.
