After playing in their third game in the past 14 hours, the Wisconsin Badgers (30-21) softball team ran out of gas and fell to the No. 14 Florida Gators, 11-0, in the Gainesville Regional Final inside Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.

Sophomore Peyton Bannon continued to have an outstanding performance at the plate in the NCAA Tournament and she went 2-for-2 in the loss to Florida.
This softball team has absolutely nothing to hang their heads over. It’s impressive that they got to this point when they played an elimination game that went past midnight local time, then had to play another elimination game eight hours later to get to the Regional Final.
There’s a lot to build on for the 2023 season for Wisconsin.
To the seven seniors: Megan Donahue, Morgan Kummer, Maddie Schwartz, Kayla Konwent, Ally Miklesh, Jolie Fish, and Lauren Foster…thank you for leaving the program better than when you got here. Once a Badger, ALWAYS a Badger!

This was the ninth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, four of them have come in the last five years and since Yvette Healy took over as head coach in 2011, the Badgers have been to the dance six times.
The 30 wins marks the seventh time the program has reached 30-plus wins in the Healy era.
It was still a heck of a season despite the loss to Florida today.
