The UW-Milwaukee Panthers have their new head women’s tennis coach as Director of Athletics Amanda Braun announced today that Ryan Kucera is the next head coach.

Kucera comes to Milwaukee after spending the last two season as the head coach at Minnesota State where he compiled an 18-24 (.429) overall record and a 9-13 (.409) record in NSIC play.

“Ryan is a rising star in college women’s tennis and we are very excited to have him leading our program here at Milwaukee,” Braun said.

“I am extremely blessed and humbled to be named the next head coach of the Milwaukee women’s tennis program,” Kucera said. “A huge thank you to Director of Athletics Amanda Braun, Senior Associate Director of Athletics Adam Schemm, and the entire search committee, and to everyone in the athletic department for putting the trust of a strong program into my hands. I am blessed to be walking into a situation with a university that has great resources, has student-athlete welfare at the forefront of their minds, and puts everyone in a position to be extremely successful. I can’t wait to get started and see where we can take the program.”
