Sacramento Kings Hire Mike Brown as Next Head Coach

The Sacramento Kings have hired Mike Brown as their next head coach. Brown will be the 31st head coach in franchise history.

Mike Brown is currently an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors and is expected to stay with them until their season comes to an end.

Brown has eight years of NBA head coaching experience with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers and holds a 347-216 (.616) career regular season record and a 47-36 (.566) record in the playoffs.

Brown is the ninth Sacramento Kings head coach since 2010 and he’ll be in charge of trying to end the longest playoff drought in the NBA and get the Kings back to the postseason for the first time since the 2006 playoffs.
