With four scholarship spots available for the 2022-23 season, the Wisconsin Badgers have filled the first of the four via the transfer portal.
The UW-Green Bay transfer Kamari McGee announced today that he has committed to the Badgers. McGee won the state championship Racine St. Catherine’s.

McGee was named to the All-Horizon League freshman team in 2021-22, while averaging 11.6 points and 1.9 assists per game for the Phoenix. McGee also won Horizon League freshman of the week three times. He shot 38.8-percent from the field.
With three years of eligibility remaining, McGee will join a backcourt that features sophomore Chucky Hepburn, junior Jordan Davis, and senior Jahcobi Neath in 2022-23.
“They like my competitiveness, the grit that I had, and the way that I played,” McGee said. “They really like that about me. They said I can bring a lot to the table as a leader as someone who will get better every day and push everyone around me.”
Bradley, BYU, Minnesota and UC-Davis were among other programs to contact McGee while he was in the transfer portal.
