The University of San Diego Toreros are closing in on hiring Steve Lavin as its next men’s basketball head coach.
I’m hearing the two sides could reach an official agreement soon.

This hire would be a good one for that program.
The former UCLA and St. John’s head coach has a 237-150 (.612) record in 12 seasons as a head coach, including an 11-8 (.579) career record in the NCAA Tournament.
