The 2022 Saratoga Falcons Varsity Lacrosse Team

The Saratoga Falcons (Saratoga, CA) varsity Lacrosse team is off to a 2-0 overall and 1-0 league record to start the 2022 campaign.

The Falcons started the season with a 9-1 season opening victory over Latino College Preparatory Academy Golden Eagles where Victor Nyden scored three goals and Nathan Zaragoza added two goals.

In the league opener last week against the Woodside Wildcats, the Falcons won 8-1 with Nyden scoring five goals.

Saratoga takes on the Pioneer Mustangs (0-0) in their first road game of the season at 7:00 PM (Pacific Time).

The head coach of the Falcons is Jeff Roper who is in his third season at the helm of the program, albeit the first normal season due to the 2020 covid shortened season and the strange 2021 season where they had no offseason work with the team and only played seven games due to CCS shortening the season.

When asked about his hopes and goals for this season, Roper said: “I have several goals besides winning. I would like the boys to improve their lacrosse ability, grow as people, and have fun.”

Assistant coaches are Josh Roper (1st season) and Ekin Celik (1st season).

This 2022 team has 14 seniors, four juniors, two sophomores and one freshman.

Unfortunately, no games are televised on any platform. But if you’d like to keep up with the program, you can check the schedule if you’d like the make it to a game, or you can keep up with the scores and stats on MaxPreps.
