The San José State Spartans (7-6, 0-1 MWC) fall to their arch-rival the Fresno State Bulldogs (11-4, 1-1 MWC), 79-59, inside the Save Mart Center.

The Spartans defense showed little-to-no resistance against Fresno State as the Bulldogs hit on 52.5-percent of their shots.
Trey Anderson led SJSU with 18 points and five rebounds, while Omari Moore added 11 points and five rebounds.
As a team, the Spartans made 21-of-50 (42.0%) from the field, 8-of-22 (36.4%) from 3-point range and just 9-of-15 (60.0%) from the free throw line.
I was really hoping for a better showing tonight from San José State. Having said that, I do think Tim Miles has the team heading in the right direction.
