The Wisconsin Badgers (6-13-2, 3-8-1 B1G) men’s hockey team gives up three goals in the third period in a 5-3 loss to the No. 17 Ohio State Buckeyes (15-6, 7-4 B1G) inside the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin had five Power Plays, but were only able to convert on one of them, while the Buckeyes converted on one of their two Power Plays.
UW outshot OSU, 36-33, but the Buckeyes dominated the face-off circle, winning 42 of a possible 67.
Roman Ahcan, Carson Bantle and Dominick Mersch each scored a goal for the Badgers.
Goalie Jared Moe saved 28 of 32 shots (87.5%).

The Badgers and Buckeyes will play again tomorrow, January 9th, to wrap up the two-game series inside the Kohl Center. Puck-drop is scheduled for 3:00 PM (Central Time) and will be televised on Bally Sports Wisconsin.
