The San José State Spartans (5-4) remain undefeated inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center with a 78-66 win over the Pacific Tigers (4-6).
Trey Anderson carried the Spartans offensively with a game-high and career-high 23 points on 8-of-16 from the field.
Omari Moore had 18 points on 8-of-13 from the field, while Tibet Gorener added 13 points and Trey Smith scored 11 points to round out the double-figure scorers for the Spartans.
Pacific is having a tough year so far, but this is a big win for San José State.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again … the Tim Miles hire was the best thing that could of happened for the SJSU program after the disastrous Jean Prioleau era.
Miles has injected life into the program and made the Spartans at least semi-competitive against superior teams. Once he gets his guts into the program, things will presumably get even better.
The Spartans will look for their first road win of the season when they travel to the Chiles Center to play the Portland Pilots (7-3) on Friday, December 17th. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM (Central Time).
