UW-Milwaukee Panthers Lose To Youngstown State Penguins

The UW-Milwaukee Panthers (1-6, 0-1 Horizon) lose to the Youngstown State Penguins (3-3, 1-0 Horizon), 70-68, inside UWM Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

UWM’s losing streak has now hit six games in a row and are now 0-3 at home.

There was a ton of hype for this team entering the season, and rightfully so. But this program has turned into a clown show and there’s no excuses for Pat Baldwin Sr. anymore. This is year five, this is his roster and there’s no reason UWM should lose at home to Youngstown State.

Baldwin’s seat has to be heating up at this point.

UWM had 13 assists and 14 turnovers. To be clear, more turnovers than assists is not good. The Panthers shot 26-of-54 (48.1%) from the field, 6-of-20 (30.0%) from beyond the arc and 10-of-14 (71.4%) at the free throw line.

DeAndre Gholston led UWM with 24 points on 9-of-17 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds and had two assists, but had three turnovers.

Donovan Newby (13) and Tafari Simms (12) were the other two Panthers to score in double-figures.

Up Next:

UWM will welcome the Robert Morris Colonials (0-6, 0-1 Horizon) to UWM Panther Arena on Saturday, December 4th. Tipoff is set for 11:00 AM (Central Time) and will be nationally televised on ESPNU.
