Green Bay Packers Initial Injury Report for Week 2

The Green Bay Packers (0-1) host the Detroit Lions (0-1) at Lambeau Field on Monday Night with kickoff set for 7:15 PM (Central Time) and televised on ESPN. Currently the Packers are 11-point favorites, per Bovada.

Safety Darnell Savage took part in practice today on a limited basis after injuring his shoulder on an interception that was called back in Sunday’s blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Linebacker Za’Darius Smith did not practice today. He played through a back injury against the Saints on Sunday that forced him to miss most of training camp, but he was limited to mostly third downs.

Safety Vernon Scott, who missed Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, returned to practice.

Tight End Josiah Deguara and Left Guard Lucas Patrick are both in concussion protocol, but they did at least attend practice which is normally a good sign.

Here’s the initial injury report:

Green Bay also had their first positive coronavirus test. Defensive Line coach Jerry Montgomery tested positive this week. Montgomery, like the entire Packers staff, is vaccinated so the long-term rules don’t apply. He does need to pass two tests within 24-hours to return Monday night.
