Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (11-15) protects home court in win over Valencia Basket (14-14) with a 84-72 victory this afternoon.
Tel Aviv absolutely needed a win to keep their EuroLeague playoff hopes alive. Any loss the rest of the way will be backbreaking losses.
Angelo Caloiaro only played 18 minutes and 47 seconds in this game, in large part due to foul trouble again in the first half.
Caloiaro finished with 6 points on 2-of-6 from the field (1-for-4 from 3) and 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He did have 4 assists and 1 steal, and his lone turnover came when he picked up an offensive foul in the second quarter which was a horrible call!
The biggest play of the day was when Valencia was making a run, with Tel Aviv leading 67-61 with 6:59 left, Caloiaro took a charge which gave Maccabi Tel Aviv the momentum back.
