The Milwaukee Bucks (16-11) got off to a 13-3 start against the Oklahoma City Thunder (11-15) tonight before failing to show up in the second and third quarters in a 114-109 loss inside Chesapeake Energy Arena tonight.
The Bucks won the first three games on the road trip, only to lose the last three to finish 3-3 on the trip.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 24 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists and three blocks for a triple-double.
Khris Middleton finished with 23 points, Bobby Portis with 21 and Donte DiVincenzo with 17.
In the first half, no one stepped up offensively other than Giannis and Middleton.
Oklahoma City is a team that struggles offensively, however, they outshot the Bucks 47.4% to 46.4% from the field and 41.7% to 34.2% from 3-point range.
OKC also won the rebounding battle 60-52 and assist battle 32-24 and also had one less turnover (13) than the Bucks (14).
For a team with title aspirations, they surely haven’t played like a team to win one through 27 games.
Up Next:
The Bucks will begin an eight game home stand. First up will be the Toronto Raptors (12-15) on Tuesday, February 16. Tip-off will be at 7:00 PM (Central Time).
Shocker! Giannis can’t shoot outside of 15 feet. Does not need to be guarded out there!
