Sports Are Dumb. Wisconsin Badgers Lose 14-6 To Indiana Hoosiers

The Wisconsin Badgers offense struggled nearly all game in a 14-6 loss to the Indiana Hoosiers this afternoon at Camp Randall Stadium. It’s the first UW loss to Indiana since 2002.

I thought Wisconsin would play well today after the offense looked brutal against Northwestern two weeks ago. Instead, they didn’t play well.

I’m a huge Paul Chryst fan, and he needs to start calling plays again and take play calling duties away from Joe Rudolph. This one is on the offensive coaching….as was the last game against Northwestern two weeks ago.

You have a running back (Jalen Berger) averaging 5.8 yards per carry, yeah, let’s limit him to 15 touches! He can also catch the damn ball too! Berger got one carry in the final two drives….inexcusable by the staff!

I just got done watching Paul Chryst’s post game interview. Paul Chryst talked for about 10 minutes and, to be real honest, didn’t have a lot of answers about why his offense has failed the last two games.

The lack of quality receivers is glaring and inexplicable, while also very hard to accept. Quintez Cephus masked a lot of it in 2017 until he got hurt and last year (2019). Danny Davis and Kendric Pryor are average, maybe slightly above average. Where is the depth???

The last drive, Graham Mertz did absolutely everything he could do. The injury to Kayden Lyles (Center) definitely hurt because the snaps were not great after he left.

I’m not blaming the referees for the loss, but this absolutely is pass interference and should have been called. Perfect ending, sports are so dumb.

Also, special teams coach Chris Haering needs to be let go or get a demotion because it was a brutal day by the special teams. The special teams had several penalties on kick/punt returns, and if your punt returner isn’t going to actually, you know, catch the punt, then you might as well add another rusher.

For those wondering about seniors returning for 2021 since this season doesn’t count towards a year of eligibility for players, Cole Van Lanen noted postgame that this was his last game at Camp Randall Stadium.

Wisconsin (2-2) plays on the road in Iowa City against the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-2) next Saturday, December 12. Kickoff time hasn’t been announced yet and neither has which station will televise the game.
