The MLB trade deadline has passed. Trades completed at the wire could still be announced.
The Milwaukee Brewers have let’s just say underperformed so far in 2020. The club sits at 15-18 and in third place in the National League Central Division.
With the way the season has gone, many questioned whether the Brewers would be buyers or sellers? Would Josh Hader still be in a uniform?
The Brewers remained mostly quiet. The only move was sending David Phelps, who’s having a career year, to the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Brewers in return will receive three players to be named later in the deal. It’s rumored that all three players will be low-level system pitchers.
The reason why the three players are “players to be named later” is because they weren’t in the Phillies 60-man player pool. Since they weren’t in the player pool, you can’t name them now.
