Estella Moschkau, a former Madison Edgewood star player, announced today that she will be joining the Badgers women’s basketball team to finish her career back home, joining UW as a graduate transfer from Stanford.
Moschkau entered the NCAA Transfer Portal last week after three seasons in Palo Alto.
Coming out of high school, Moschkau was ranked as the No. 41 prospect in the Nation by ESPN HoopGurlz and No. 88 by Prospects Nation.
Moschkau will join an incoming UW freshman class of Halle Douglass, Brooke Schramek, Kate Thompson and Natalie Leuzinger who will be a preferred walk-on.
This is a big addition for head coach Jonathan Tsipis and the UW women’s program. While the program lost three members from the 2019-20 team to the transfer portal — two of them key members — I like the group they brought in and the program should still be on the rise.
