The Los Gatos High School girls basketball team took down Independence High School tonight, 56-31, in the second round of the CCS Division 1 second round.
Senior Sabrina Belquist scored a game-high 22 points and Junior Olivia Lo added 11 points.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 13-6 lead after the first quarter and dominated the second quarter, allowing only two points, to take a 33-8 lead into halftime. It was 51-16 after three quarters of play before the Wildcats allowed the bench to get more of a run.
Los Gatos will now play on the road Tuesday night where they’ll play Sequoia High School in the CCS Division 1 playoffs quarterfinals. Tip-off for Tuesday’s game is set for 7:00 PM (PT).
