The Los Gatos High School boy’s basketball team hosted Salinas High tonight at Helm Gym in the first round of the CCS Division 1 playoffs.
The Cats jumped out to a 13-7 lead after the first quarter, but Salinas answered in the second and third quarters before playing an even fourth quarter.
Los Gatos ended up losing 39-37 to finish the season with a 10-15 record.
The Wildcats will lose 5 players due to graduation, but will have 11 players returning in 2020-21 season (assuming everyone comes back). It will be interesting to see the new crop of freshman and how well the current freshman and sophomores developed at the freshman and JV levels.
The Los Gatos Wildcats girls basketball team received the 5 seed in the Division 1 playoffs and will host Independence tomorrow at 7:00 PM (PT) in the CCS playoffs Division 1 second round.
