The comedy show at San Jose Improv, er, I mean basketball team at San Jose State, lost once again, this time to Boise State at the Provident Credit Union Event Center on the SJSU campus by a final of 80-62.
Seneca Knight scored 23 points, his ninth game with 20+ points on the season. Richard Washington added 16 points and Christian Anigwe chipped in nine points and nine rebounds.
The Spartans shot 21-of-58 (36.2%) from the field, 8-for-30 (26.7%) from 3-point range and 12-of-19 (63.2%) from the free throw line. SJSU turned the ball over 15 times which only led to 14 points for Boise State.
Here’s an idea for SJSU: When you have a poor shooting team that turns the ball over…slow the game down! Instead Spartans head coach Jean Prioleau likes to have a fast paced offense with turnovers and missed shots, great plan!
I wonder what excuses the administration (I’m talking about you President Papazian & AD Marie Tuite) are making for this (yet again) failure of a season.
When your big boosters have finally had enough and not renewing their tickets, that should be a sign to, oh I don’t know, make changes?
The loss puts SJSU at 7-20 overall and 3-12 in MWC play. That puts Jean Prioleau with a 15-73 overall mark and 5-46 MWC mark. At least he’s a nice guy…
SJSU travels to Fort Collins, Colorado to take on the Colorado State Rams on Saturday at 1:00 PM (PT).
